This is one of the most expansive yet compact and engaging treatments of innovation that I have seen anywhere. Your clarity and scholarship concerning the crucial distinctions between combinatorial innovation and Deep Tech - along with your essential call to action - are a fine gift to the community. We've got to convert broader and more evidence-based awareness of where high-impact innovation comes from into more effective problem-solving and policy-making.

As a higher education professional, I sense a profound need and opportunity for Deep Tech innovation within that space. But wow, is there a LOT of noise (i.e. "cheap combinatorial innovation")
