What is this “Superadditive” all about?
Superadditivity occurs when a combination produces more than its individual parts can on their own. It occurs in music, technology, teams, and organizations. When it works, the result feels effortless and surprising. Sometimes, we respond with a quiet “Ooh.” Sometimes, we say, “Whoa.”
I chase this feeling. I look for it in ideas, organizations, and the structures that support our creative and intellectual work.
Superadditive is an inquiry into those structures.
I write about strategy, innovation, and organizational life. These essays draw from my research and teaching as a strategy professor at Duke.

Who is this for
Superadditive speaks to builders, researchers, and thoughtful generalists. If you care about technology, institutions, creative work, or the process of turning ideas into something real, you are in the right place.
